Nothing is more terrifying than an animal on a rampage. That is the scenario in Cujo when a Saint-Bernard named Cujo becomes rabid after being bitten by a bat and threatens the lives of a mother and her child on a secluded farm. The family of the farm are out of town, the mother and child are trapped in a car, and watching guard is the murderous dog. Cujo preys on those with the fear of being attacked by an animal without cause. The fact that Cujo is rabid makes the scenario even more frightening with the dog willing to even inflict injury on itself if it means being able to savagely attack and murder a human being.
